The living conditions of more than 2,700 families will improve;

• Expansion of the productive area for coffee and maize seeds on the project farms,

from 81 hectares in 2022 to 210 hectares in 3 years, achieved under optimal agricultural management

and with the best irrigation systems;

• This will accelerate the recovery of the soil to grow productive crops,

increasing the potential for the cultivation of coffee and food crops (corn, hemp and green beans)

beans) on these two farms increases by 50%, from 14% to 29% of the total coffee

production of APK, with an expected increase in total coffee revenues from 8% to 10%

for MOT and the cooperatives.

• Such improvements have a direct impact on rural employment, income generation and living conditions in the Kilimanjaro area, and contribute to increased prosperity.

Tanzania Tumaini AA Plus

Tanzania is a country in East Africa, located on the Indian Ocean. The capital is Dodoma, while Dar es Salaam is the economic center. Tanzania's economy is largely based on agriculture, in which coffee is an important export product. In terms of coffee production, Tanzania is known for its high-quality Arabica coffee beans. Arabica is mainly grown on the fertile slopes of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Coffee cultivation was introduced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, during the German and later British colonial periods, and became an essential source of income for many small farmers. Tanzanian coffee is known for its bright acidity, medium to full body and refined flavor profiles with notes of citrus, fruit and flowers.
